An All Star Embarrassment

All you need is a side by side comparison of the Royals, Brewers or Pirates roster to the Twins' (roster) to see the what a joke the organization has become.

Chris Parmalee, a first baseman, continues to look like a flopping beached whale lumbering for fly balls he'll never catch in center, left and right fields.  The Twins' front office message continues to be, "We're doing a lot with a litte!"  Why?

A fat centerfielder, a nervous first baseman and a cast of utility players methodically being added and removed from the DL is not the blue print of a world champion.

How can anybody remember the roster names of last 3.5 years? When folks sit down for their coffee during all star weekend, the out of towners will ask, "So, how's the home team?"  There's not a star to be found on this team.  No leaders, no mentors.

Not only is there no joy in Mudville, there's also no hope as long as Gardy, Terry and the Pohlads are calling the shots. The Twins are not an elite organization. They should not be taken seriously.

Alex Meyer, Trevor May, Byron Buxton, Miguel Sano and not even more TV money will save the Minnesota Twins today and probably not 3 years from now.  Fans should take this team and players as seriously as the Minnesota Twins effort in building it, not very.
